It all started with mild shoulder pain when you woke up, which attributed to an incorrect position in sleep or perimenopause. However, in the following days, the symptoms recurred with the addition of nausea, although they were passengers and not particularly worrying.

On the day of the heart attack, Nikki again felt nausea and discomfort in the shoulder, but this time it spread to her chest and arm. Despite the malaise, he tried to deal with the day normally. He reported symptoms to his doctor during an already scheduled visit, receiving advice from going to the hospital only in case of worsening.

Unfortunately, an hour later, he experienced the classic symptoms of heart attack, including a severe discomfort in the chest and arm. Being already in the hospital, he received immediate assistance. The examinations showed that the cause of the heart attack was linked to a set of factors, including perimenopause and a recent pathology.

Nikki decided to share her experience on TikTok to raise awareness among people about the lesser-known symptoms of heart attack, especially among women. He stressed that each case is different and that body signals must never be underestimated. Malaises such as nausea and mild pain can be signs of heart problems, often ignored because they do not fall within the symptoms traditionally associated with heart attack. Nikki’s story serves as a warning to listen to his body and consult a doctor, as timely surgery can make a difference to save his skin.
